Safety Improvements — Tennyson Road

Tennyson Road had over 230 collisions between 2019-2024, with 18 severe injuries and 2 fatal collisions. This street serves South Hayward BART, Cesar Chavez Middle School, and many local businesses. Tennyson Road has a speed limit of 25-35 mph, but drivers have been recorded going over 80 mph. Near South Hayward BART, 90% of drivers were recorded going at least 10 mph over the speed limit.
